Facebook Post Targeting: How Real Estate Agents Can Be More Relevant

You know relevance is the key to successful marketing – especially when it comes to social media. But are you delivering relevance or just blasting everyone with the same content?

In this post, I will show you how Facebook post targeting can help real estate agents be more relevant and improve the performance of their Facebook marketing.

Available for more than two years now, Enhanced Page Post Targeting on Facebook gives you the ability to target posts to a subset of the people that like your Page. By narrowing the people who see your posts, you can get more engagement. The good news? Very few other real estate professionals are using this feature.

For example, imagine being able to send a helpful article, an update or special offer to people in a specific suburb. Well, you can.

You can also target your audience based on gender, relationship status, educational status, age, language and interests. Interest targeting allows you to aim your posts at people who follow specific Pages on Facebook – including your competitors.

Please note that we are talking about organic posts i.e. your regular posts on your Facebook Page, not paid ads. Also, you can only target people who already like your Page.

Let’s see how this works.

Step 1:

Go to the box on your company Page where you usually post content.
